Best Sustainable Soft Drinks

DASH Water 

We couldn’t make a list of sustainable drinks brands without including ourselves, so of course, we’ve added DASH Water first. Our infused sparkling water is made with three simple ingredients, including wonky fruit that others say no to. We never use plastic bottles, which is why all of our drinks are canned, using recycled aluminium that uses a tiny fraction of energy to make.  

Best Sustainable Coffee

Grind Coffee

Most used coffee pods end up straight in landfill, but not Grind’s. Their sustainable coffee pods are fully home-compostable and plastic free, while their packaging is all recyclable and carbon negative. What’s more, all of their coffee beans are sourced directly from small, sustainable farms around the world, helping strengthen these farms and their communities. It’s also a bonus that Grind’s sustainable coffee is as delicious as it is ethical. 

Best Sustainable Vodka 

Black Cow Vodka

Black Cow Vodka is a sustainable drinks brand that is completely waste-free. Their vodka is made from pure milk that’s left over from grass-grazed cows after making cheese, allowing them to reduce their carbon footprint by using a lot less water than grain-based spirits. Milk may sound like an unusual ingredient for vodka, but it actually makes the eco-friendly drink extra smooth and tasty. 

Tip: Black Cow’s English Strawberry Vodka and Dash Water’s peach sparkling water makes a very tasty treat. 

Best Sustainable Gin

Sipsmith Gin

Like us, Sipsmith Gin are a B-Corp business, which means they’re officially dedicated to reducing their environmental impact. Currently, Sipsmith is aiming to be carbon net-zero by 2030 and they’re taking big steps to get there. From using renewable energy in their production process to reducing packaging and emissions used in delivery, Sipsmith are putting the environment at the forefront of their strategy.

Best Sustainable Whisky 

Mc’nean

Another B Corporation, Mc’nean creates delicious botanical whisky with sustainability at its core. They use organic Scottish barley, in a green distillery that uses renewable energy and recycles 99.97% of their waste. Their whisky is then packaged in a fully recycled green glass bottle, with home-compostable corks and tampers. 

 

Best Sustainable Alcohol-Free Spirit 

Feragaia

Feragaia is a sustainable drinks brand that makes a delicious alcohol-free spirit from local Scottish botanicals. All of Fergaia’s botanicals are either grown by themselves or by local partners and they’ve removed all harmful chemicals from their manufacturing process. The brand also invests in the seaweed lines that grow their sea botanicals to educate and help others to look after the environment.
